As heat demand for the chemical processes of our client Oleon are highly diverse - ranging from ca 650 kW over a period of 9 hours to as much as ca 5,000kW for about 45 minutes -, we opted for a combination of two boilers that can effortlessly cope with this overall load capacity.

The first thermal oil boiler has a nominal output of 700 kW and is equipped with a flue gas heat recovery system. The second boiler is a standard model with a nominal output of 4,500 kW. Both boilers come in a horizontal design and feature an electronically modulating low NOx gas burner. In addition, each boiler has its own degasser-expansion chiller, dimensioned to suit the specific boiler flow rate.
Last but not least, we also connected both systems to a common expansion vessel, dimensioned to accommodate the oil content of the entire system, thus dispensing with the need for a storage tank as a separate collection vessel.
