Yes. When a hot water or industrial central heating boiler is expanded or upgraded, an existing boiler is often kept as a reserve installation. This maximizes the value of an earlier investment and creates additional redundancy in your heat production.

For a candy manufacturer, Callens installed a 2 MW hot water boiler to heat drying cabinets where excess moisture is removed from sweets after the cooking and casting process. This drying process gives the end product a fine and consistent texture. To keep the installation simple and low-maintenance, a closed circuit was designed, which eliminates the need for additional components such as a deaerator and water feed tank. Thanks to an economizer and high-quality insulation, the installation achieves a combustion efficiency of 95 %.
