Heat excites taste buds in industrial bakery
The Callens heat for this industrial bakery keeps the production area clean and adds heat as an indispensable ingredient for the tastiest pastry dough.
Clean production areas and baking forms thanks to central heating system
The central heating system with a capacity of 850 kW heats the cleaning water that ensures a clean production area; it cleans both the industrial machines and the baking molds. In addition, we heat water that is added as an ingredient in the production line. In fact, all utility lines with branches for domestic cold water, domestic hot water and fire line with fire reels in our design.
There are three heat sources that come together in the collector through an balance tank. One of the secondary circuits circulates hot water over a plate heat exchanger. On the secondary side of the heat exchanger, a 3,000-liter buffer tank is provided to store domestic hot water at 65°C.
"Outsourcing the air and heat installations for the expansion of our production to Callens only strengthened our confidence in them. We were delivered top quality, just as in the previous projects," said the Manager Technical Services of this industrial bakery.
Heat recovery from two sources
We boosted the energy efficiency of the plant recovering heat from two different sources. First, we capture the residual heat from the existing thermal-oil boiler with a flue gas heat exchanger. Second, we drive up the amount of residual heat with a second heat exchanger thanks to the nearby heat grid.
On top of that, employees and pastry products get stable heat from our air heaters. The air groups we installed are equipped with hot water batteries, which we connected to the central heating boiler. In this way, we keep everything in a - desired - vicious circle.
