The truck wash of this transport company was given a thorough overhaul, Callens style! To ensure that the company would end up with a facility to clean its transport tanks for delicate, chemical ingredients that is also sustainable, we designed everything around two new, condensing central heating boilers. Via a 15 m³ buffer tank and a large number of high pressure pipes, these boilers produce the hot water for four renovated and two new cleaning lines.

In this particular project, we provided the transport company with a total solution. The system turned into a fine example of customisation which we proactively added energy-saving options to, like the condensers in the boilers’ flue gas channels for instance. In addition, we opted for sustainable materials such as stainless steel to protect the system against reactions with the chemical ingredients.

  • Thanks to 2 steam heat exchangers, the temperature of the cleaning water can be raised to remove even the most stubborn of dirt.
  • At that, all 6 washing lines can operate together because the buffer tank is dimensioned in such a way that it can effortlessly cope with peak consumption.
  • Lastly, we took on a few final challenges like meticulously fine-tuning the installation to ensure that the cleaning products are added to the warm water at the correct cleaning stage.

Our air technology guys were in charge of the final stage: drying the transport tanks with hot air. As icing on the cake, we already got everything ready for the future connection to a CHP system.
