Pure air in the wink of an eye
The car bumpers our client produces and treats are finished in three phases. During each of these phases, the spray booths fill up with polluted air that must be replaced with fresh, clean air as quickly as possible. A quadruple purification system per car bumper treatment phase optimally purifies the air and safely pumps the cleanest air back in again.
The air is purified in four stages.
During stage one, the water droplets are separated by means of a mist eliminator.
Next, we remove the paint residue from the air using a paintstop filter.
Finally, the air is purified again in two classes before being returned to the spray booths clean and safely, either or not cooled or heated by means of the energy recovered from the refrigeration compressors.
The condensate and the separated water from the mist eliminator are centrally collected and channelled to the water treatment system.
High air flow rate, tight deadline
We managed to have this cracker of a system, with an air flow rate of 160,000 m3/h up and running within 2 weeks. A tight deadline to say the least but it meant that all the work would be carried out during annual shutdown so that our client wouldn’t have to change its annual planning.
