Steam boiler utilizes brewery’s biogas maximally
Besides delicious Belgian beers, this brewery produces a useful extra for our steam boiler on its site: biogas. We offered a steam boiler that is ready to take up this more sustainable challenge.
By-product biogas as sustainable fuel for steam boiler
The biogas this brewery uses is a by-product generated during the water purification process on the site. We calculated how the customer can take maximum advantage of this by-product while minimizing his carbon footprint. The outcome was a 2.5 tons steam boiler that is able to use the biogas as fuel. Ever since the new steam boiler is fully operational, the existing and outdated boilers on the brewery’s site only take up the role of backup boiler when needed. If the amount of biogas is insufficient for the new boiler to be fully operational, gas can be used as the secondary fuel source.
Boiler room requires smart electrical modifications
Our team concerned with the electrical wiring also proved its skills. They modified the entire system to connect it as a whole to the new steam boiler. Moreover, they installed a central electrical cabinet, including PLC, where the customer can manage the installation himself.
