Rental boiler

For many manufacturing companies, heat is mission-critical. But what happens when your heat production comes under pressure due to planned maintenance, an unexpected breakdown, capacity expansions, or peak loads? In situations like these, a rental boiler offers a fast, reliable solution that keeps downtime off the table.

The rental boilers from Callens Group provide a flexible solution for the temporary replacement of steam boilers, thermal oil boilers, and industrial heating boilers. Our units are fully equipped, quick to deploy, and tailored to your specific heat demand. That way your production is guaranteed to keep running—without compromising on safety, efficiency, or operational reliability.

When does a rental boiler make sense?

A temporary boiler is often associated with emergencies, but in practice its applications go much further. Rental boilers are deployed when your existing installation is temporarily unavailable, when extra heat capacity is needed, or when a company wants to test a new installation before committing to a permanent investment.

Thanks to their modular design and full equipment, rental boilers can be connected to existing installations quickly. This makes them a reliable temporary heat supply—without major modifications to your production environment.

Key benefits of rental boilers

  • Maintenance without production downtime: carry out planned maintenance or overhauls on your boiler installation without interrupting your production process. A temporary rental boiler takes over the heat supply, so your operations can simply keep going.
  • Backup and quickly operational in the event of a breakdown: an unexpected failure or defect doesn’t have to lead to production losses. With a rental boiler, you restore your heat supply quickly and limit the impact on your operations.
  • Extra capacity when you need it: during production peaks, seasonal busy periods, or temporary expansions, a rental boiler delivers the extra heat capacity you need—without investing in a permanent installation.
  • Testing new processes without major investment: want to try out a new production process, heat concept, or production line? A rental boiler gives you the heat capacity you need to validate your plans in practice, without immediately purchasing a permanent installation.
  • A smooth start-up of new production lines: when a new production line needs to be operational sooner than the permanent boiler installation is available, a rental boiler is a reliable temporary solution as it allows you to start production on schedule while keeping your investment path flexible.

Which rental boiler should you choose?

The right rental boiler depends on your heat demand, the required temperature level, and the application: steam production, thermal oil heating, or an industrial heating installation. At the Callens Group, we have an extensive rental fleet of fully equipped units that are ready to deploy at short notice.

Our specialists analyze your situation and recommend the rental boiler that best suits your production process, available connections, and desired capacity.

Continuity without compromise

A faulty boiler or a scheduled maintenance stop doesn’t have to bring your production to a standstill. With a temporary rental boiler, your heat supply stays guaranteed and you get to meet your delivery deadlines and avoid unexpected production losses.

What’s more, renting is a sustainable solution. You only invest when temporary capacity is needed, without purchasing a permanent installation that is idle for most of the year. Thanks to modern boiler technologies, high-efficiency burners, and optimal tuning, energy consumption also stays as low as possible throughout the rental period.

Our specialists make sure that the rental installation integrates seamlessly into your existing energy supply, so you can keep focusing on what really matters: your production.

A rental boiler has to do more than just produce heat. It needs to be available quickly, easy to integrate, and offer the same operational reliability as a permanent installation. That is why the Callens Group opts for an all-in service built around speed, safety, and technical support.

At the Callens Group, you have a single point of contact for your entire steam project: from the first analysis to installation, including service and maintenance. This keeps the process clear and reduces the need for separate coordination between different parties.

The Callens Group is not tied to a single brand, manufacturer, or technology. This means we can select the solution that is technically and economically most attractive for each project. Our engineers analyze the complete energy profile of your site, including electricity consumption, heat demand, operating hours, fuel availability, and return on investment. The result is a CHP installation that delivers maximum returns, today and tomorrow.

With more than 120 service and maintenance specialists, the Callens Group has one of the largest service teams. Preventive maintenance, interventions, remote monitoring and an extensive stock of spare parts ensure that your steam installation remains maximally available and that unplanned downtime is kept to a minimum.

Questions? We have the answers.

That depends on the required capacity, the configuration, and your company’s location. In many cases, a rental boiler can be delivered and started up within one to two working days. Thanks to their modular design and full equipment, mobile boiler installations connect to your existing set-up quickly, keeping the impact on your production to a minimum.

A rental boiler can be used for both short and longer periods. Some companies rent a unit for a few days during planned maintenance, while others need temporary heat for several months to bridge renovations, expansion work, or the construction of a new installation.

That depends on the type of boiler and the application. In most cases, you will need connections for fuel, electricity, water, and the existing pipework for steam, hot water, or thermal oil. We always assess in advance how the rental installation can be integrated into your existing energy supply as safely and efficiently as possible.

Yes. Modern rental boilers are designed for continuous industrial use and meet the same safety and quality standards as permanent installations. They are tested and inspected beforehand, so you can count on a safe, reliable heat supply throughout the entire rental period.

For an international potato processor, we installed a 15 t/h steam rental boiler. It provided production capacity while work was carried out in the boiler house.
