Hybrid power for a volatile energy market
The hybrid steam boiler is Callens’ answer to fluctuating energy prices — reducing both operating costs and emissions.
High-capacity hybrid steam boiler
This 6.3 T/h hybrid steam boiler runs on both electricity and high-quality natural gas. Switching between energy sources happens instantly, making it easy to respond to market price changes.
Currently, only 2 T/h of steam is used, leaving plenty of capacity to boost production without needing to upgrade the boiler room.
“We’re very satisfied with the work delivered. Thanks to Callens, we’re taking a smart and steady ride on the wave of the energy transition.,” said the CEO.
Keeping energy use under control
Energy consumption is kept in check with:
- Frequency-controlled pumps
Reduce energy use, ensure consistent steam quality, and extend pump life. - Economiser
Uses flue gases to preheat the feedwater, raising efficiency to 95%.
Rental boiler bridges the transition
A Callens rental boiler with a capacity of 5 T/h kept production running smoothly during the boiler room renovation. The process temperature remained perfectly stable, and after eight weeks, the factory was back to full independent operation.
