Hiring freeze at the Callens Group or the exact opposite?

06 May 2025

The Callens Group is to stop recruitment with immediate effect. In those exact words at least, for the group of companies has launched a fervent campaign to spark and attract new talent. The Callens Group aims to help anyone who feels stuck in a rut to get their mojo back. With no less than 40 exciting vacancies. And the family of fire – i.e. the workforce – as standard bearer for the campaign.

“Callens gets you all fired up” – a breath of fresh air in employer branding

No more traditional job advertisements at the Callens Group, but a spark that strikes. With its new employer branding campaign “Callens gets you all fired up”, the group shows that recruitment can be more than a mere checklist of profiles and competences. Here, it’s all about character. About passion. And about the desire to collectively develop innovative systems that make a genuine difference in the current, complex energy transition.

“We are not looking for the perfect CV, but for people with fire in their belly” explains HR Director Tommie Duyvejonck. “Technique is something you can learn, but passion and a sense of responsibility comes from within. That’s why we want to strike candidates first. Make them reflect on what makes them tick. Only then you get the click with our vacancies.”

Callens team

Real faces and stories, straight from the heart

The campaign focuses on real people and real stories. No AI creations or stock images but authentic colleagues of flesh and blood whose enthusiasm says it all. A fine example of storytelling that doesn’t only reinforce the employer brand but also dovetails nicely with the Callens Group’s culture: warm, no-nonsense and pride in what they do.

Healthy growth in figures and manpower

Both the turnover and the number of people the Callens Group employs have increased year on year. In 2024, the Callens Group clocked off with a turnover of 80 million euro and a 275-strong workforce. Thanks to its pioneering spirit and a sharp focus on innovative technologies, the group manages to continually reinforce its position as reference in the industrial heating and air technology sector.

But technology in itself is never enough - it is the people who design, construct and maintain it that make the difference. And that is why the group continues to invest in extra manpower: committed people at the ready to make an impact together.
