Residual heat makes its way to the boiler room

This car manufacturer purchases residual heat from a nearby production plant. We bridged the distance between the parties and connected the car manufacturer’s boiler room to the underground heat network.

A major player in the European car manufacturing sector took a more sustainable path by sourcing its energy from its neighbour opposite. A network of underground pipes, which we connected to the central boiler room, supplies our client with heat. To get the system up and running, we laid new pipes in the factory, installed pumps and heat exchangers and connected everything to a PLC system.

The green heat that continuously makes its way to the boiler room now heats the car manufacturer’s buildings and spray booths. This renewable energy has reduced CO2 emissions by 15,000 tons, which is 40 % less than before. The new partnership can rightfully be called a prime example of a joint effort towards more sustainable entrepreneurship.
